- IMPORTANT NOTICE

- Before running 1st&Goal for the first time, make sure that
- you are familiar with the contents of this file.

- 1st&Goal requires the following minumum requirements:
-
- 720 KB OF FREE DISK SPACE. This can be free space on
- a hard disk, two 360 kb 5.25 inch disk drives, 1
- 3.5 inch disk drive, or one 1.2 meg or one 1.44 meg
- disk drive.

- A COLOR MONITOR. This can be CGA, EGA or VGA.

- YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS IN THE CONFIG.SYS
- FILE ON YOUR BOOT DISK OR THE ROOT DIRECTORY OF YOUR HARD DISK:
- FILES = 15
- BUFFERS = 25
- These are minumum requirements. If the number of Files and
- Buffers specified in your config.sys exceeds these numbers that's
- fine. If you don't have enough files it is a simple procedure to
- add the above statements to your CONFIG.SYS file. Simply load your
- current CONFIG.SYS file (found in the root directory of your
- hard disk or boot-up diskette) into your favorite word
- processor and add the above lines. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THE FILE
- IN THE ASCII FORMAT (there will be instructions on saving an
- ASCII file in your word processor documentation). DOS 5 users can
- use the EDIT program that came with DOS 5. EDIT automatically saves
- in the ASCII format.

- To install 1st&Goal on your hard disk from a floppy or CD-ROM
- disk, log to the drive containing the 1st&Goal files and type
- install. You will be prompted for the directory on the hard disk and
- that directory will be creatd and all files will be copied into that
- directory. To print 1st&Goal's instructions you may then type
- PRINTDOC. To configure the program to your league's specifications
- you may type SETUP.

- To run 1st&Goal on two 360 kb disks you must have the following
- files on the disk in your A: drive:
- 1st&Goal.exe
- Setup.exe
- qbag.dat
- talent.nfl
- 1st.hlp
- During setup you will specify B: as the drive for your team
- files and all the files the program creates will be on the B:
- drive.

- 1st&Goal's registration price is $35.00. Registered users get the latest
- release of the registered version of 1st&Goal. In addition you will
- receive the lastest version of the 1st&Goal GENERAL MANAGER'S DISK which
- allows you to trade players or sign free agents. You will also be entitled
- to any upgrades of 1st&Goal without charge other than disk and postage
- costs.

- 1st&Goal Fantasy Football (hereafter referred to as 1st&Goal)
- is copyrighted software - it is not now and never has been in the
- public domain.
- Every release of 1st&Goal comes in two versions, the ShareWare
- or Evaluation Version and the Registered Version.
- The ShareWare Version of 1st&Goal is intended for evaluation
- purposes. The ShareWare Version is fully enabled so that all areas
- of the program may be tested. Registered owners get the latest
- version of 1st&goal and a free copy of the program 1st&Goal General
- Manager which makes player trades and allows you to sign free agents.

- The ShareWare Version of 1st&Goal may be copied and distributed
- to others subject to the following conditions:
- No charge may be made for 1st&Goal itself. Any fees collected for
- the sale of diskettes containing 1st&Goal must be clearly stated as
- being for materials and/or handling charges. The cost of the disk
- containing 1st&Goal may not exceed $15.00.
- All files included on the original distribution disk must be included
- when the program is distributed or "uploaded" to a "bulletin board".
